OVERVIEW

The Senior Marketing Manager will drive brand marketing in Australia, deepening ALO’s presence in market and preparing the ground for our expansion into New Zealand. Reporting to our local Managing Director, this role executes and localizes the strategic direction set by global HQ — leading press, talent, community, events, and social to build awareness, cultural credibility, and engagement. You will manage an agency and consultant ecosystem and work hands-on to ensure ALO’s brand messaging resonates culturally and delivers a cohesive Alosphere experience across every touchpoint. This is a scrappy, high-ownership role for someone with a genuine network in the Australian fashion, wellness, and media landscape, strong taste, and the relationships to open doors quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Translate the global marketing strategy set by HQ into a market-right Australian plan, ensuring alignment with our global brand vision and values.


• Own the integrated annual and quarterly marketing calendar, including tentpoles, local market moments, and the groundwork for New Zealand entry.


• Lead PR and press strategy — building and maintaining relationships with key editors, journalists, and media partners to earn consistent, high-quality coverage.


• Lead talent and influencer strategy, from casting and relationship-building through to activation, ensuring every partnership feels credible and on-brand.


• Build and nurture the ALO community in Australia through events, activations, studio and partner relationships, and grassroots programming.


• Build and manage a small, high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.


• Manage local agencies and consultants, holding them to a high creative and executional standard.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including merchandising, retail, and customer service — to ensure a seamless and cohesive brand experience.


• Analyze market trends, cultural shifts, consumer insights, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and sharpen brand initiatives.


• Manage the marketing budget, track performance metrics, and report on the effectiveness of brand campaigns.


• Serve as the “voice of the market” to HQ — sharing insights that improve global toolkits and regional playbooks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.


• 8+ years of marketing experience, with a focus on the ANZ market.


• Deep expertise in PR, talent and influencer marketing, community building, and social.


• An established network across Australian media, talent, and the wellness and fashion communities — with the relationships to activate it.


• Exceptional taste and cultural fluency; an instinct for what will land locally and what won’t.


• Scrappy and resourceful, comfortable operating hands-on in a lean market team while working within a global framework.


• Proven track record in community building and engagement.


• A must-have passion for the fitness and wellness lifestyle, and for the ALO brand.
