Job Description - Senior Medical Receptionist

Family Doctor are seeking a full time Senior Medical Receptionist to join our team at One Care Medical Centre located at Pennington, SA.

We are looking for someone who values teamwork and has a high regard for quality patient care. This role provides the front-line services and has the responsibilities of guiding our patients through administrative and financial aspects of their treatment.

About the senior medical receptionist:

  • Provide support to the Practice Manager & Assistant Practice Manager with staff management and general administrative processes
  • Assist the Practice Manager & Assistant Practice Manager with implementing initiatives and promotions to improve centre performance
  • Maintaining a safe, healthy and professional working environment
  • Ensure processes and systems are in accordance with the National Standards of Accreditation
  • Welcome and assist patients with enquires and appointments
  • Answer and respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous and professional manner
  • Accurately process patient payments via direct bill, cash and TYRO
  • Support the provision of accurate and timely financial and practice data
  • Take responsibility for staff management and the efficient delivery of administrative and customer service aspects of the center in the Practice Manager’s absence

About you:

  • Strong communication and IT skills
  • Previous medical receptionist experience in a GP clinic 
  • Ability to multitask
  • The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Experience using Medical director
  • Critical attention to detail
  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
