About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician (Grade 5 Mental Health Nurse) to join our Consultation & Liaison Psychiatry team. In this role, you will provide specialist mental health assessment, consultation and support across the acute hospital setting, while further developing your expertise in consultation-liaison psychiatry within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

This position is primarily based at Maroondah and Box Hill Hospitals, with occasional opportunities to support Consultation & Liaison teams across other Eastern Health sites. The role is worked across day shifts only, Monday to Friday, with weekend and public holiday shifts shared across the team on a rotating roster (approximately one weekend every 4-5 weeks).

What you’ll bring

• Current Division 1 registration with AHPRA


• Minimum 5 years’ experience across a range of mental health settings 

• Post-graduate qualifications relevant to mental health 

• Experience practicing at a Grade 4 or Grade 5 Registered Nurse level

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, utilising well developed critical analysis skills to achieve efficiency and effectiveness 

• Extensive mental health clinical expertise and experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams


• Knowledge and expertise in the field of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry
