Senior Microservices and Cloud Solutions Project Manager - Contract - Brisbane

Requirements

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in designing and developing microservices-based, event-driven architectures and cloud-native solutions.
  


• The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading engineering teams, delivering scalable systems, and driving the adoption of DevOps methodologies.
  


• This role requires excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business domains effectively.
  

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of microservices-based architectures and cloud-native solutions.
  


• Oversee the implementation of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automation.
  


• Mentor and uplift engineering teams, fostering a high-performance culture and best practices.
  


• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure and scalable architecture blueprints.
  


• Produce High-Level and Low-Level Designs (HLD/LLD), defining integration patterns and API contracts.
  


• Address and resolve complex technical challenges with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  


• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and governance frameworks.
  

Mandatory Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in microservices-based and event-driven architectures.
  


• Deep technical expertise in Spring boot and strong exposure to AWS, APACHE KAFKA, APIGEE, and Kubernetes.
  


• Proven experience in Software Development Methodologies, including CI/CD Pipelines and automation
  


• Strong command of designing Scalability, high-throughput, and low-latency systems.
  


• Excellent shareholder communications skills, with the ability to influence decision-making.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in end-to-end solution architecture for enterprise-scale distributed systems.
  


• Hands-on experience in defining Integration Patterns and system interaction models.
  


• Expertise in event-driven, domain-driven, and micro services architectures.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  


• Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams and projects.
  


• Strong analytical skills and a consistent ability to address complex technical challenges.
