Senior Network Engineer (Casual Contract)

We're seeking a Senior Network Engineer for our client, a prestigious multi-campus public university spanning Victoria, NSW, and ACT. This 6-month casual contract offers a pivotal role in designing and deploying robust network infrastructure to uphold operational efficiency and security across our diverse campuses. This opportunity is ideal for tech enthusiasts seeking flexibility to balance work and personal commitments.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, construct, and sustain scalable, secure network systems throughout university campuses.
• Implement and oversee Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC), Cisco Software-Defined Access (SD-Access), and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) solutions.
• Partner with Logicalis and customer engineers to design and integrate cutting-edge network solutions using DNAC and SD-Access across multiple campuses.
• Provide Level 3 and 4 technical support, ensuring adherence to service levels and exceeding customer expectations.
• Analyze user needs and incidents to automate processes and propose enhancements for efficient network operations.
• Ensure compliance with legislative and company policies concerning regulatory requirements.

• Extensive experience in network engineering, particularly in configuring and managing network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Proven experience in managing Cisco Digital Network Architecture (DNAC) and Cisco SD-Access solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge in cloud networking protocols across platforms like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Strong grasp of networking principles, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting.
• Experience with network security and network management tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) are highly desirable.
