About the role
As our Senior Operations Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting organisation-wide processes across our early learning and kindergarten services. Working closely with the Executive Manager Early Learning, you’ll step into high-level operations work and contribute to projects and change initiatives that directly shape service delivery, enrolment outcomes, and compliance readiness.
You’ll be:
- Supporting the transition from QuickKids to Kangaroo Time, coaching others through the change
- Strengthening compliance, funding, and data management systems across multiple services.
- Use data from multiple systems and sources to identify trends, inform strategy, and create clear, actionable reports for the Executive team.
- Enabling capability-building by coaching and mentoring The Operations Coordinator and service leaders in systems, processes, and compliance.
- Supporting key organisational change projects, bringing a solutions-focused mindset and adaptive approach.
- Collaborating across teams while managing your own workflow independently with initiative and attention to detail.
About you
You’ll bring both operational depth and strategic awareness to the table. You’re confident managing complex information, navigating ambiguity, and enabling others to succeed.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Broad experience and deep knowledge in a senior ECEC operations role, or previous Assistant Manager, Manager, or high-level coordinator role (at least 3 years)
- Diploma (or higher) level qualification in Early Childhood
- Sound knowledge of early years legislation, child safe standards, and regulatory frameworks across long day care and kindergarten
- Demonstrated expertise in childcare management systems, ideally Quick Kids and/or Kangaroo Time
- Strong working knowledge of government portals, funding frameworks, enrolment requirements, and reporting obligations within the ECEC sector.
- Strong coaching skills with a track record of building capability in others
- Systems thinker with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify patterns and generate insights from data
- Self-driven, highly adaptable, and able to both lead and collaborate effectively
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (travel across sites is required)
