Job Description - Senior People Matters Consultant

Reporting to the People Matters Leader, Pacific , the Senior People Matters Consultant is responsible for providing expert guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and compliance, while partnering with leaders to deliver positive people outcomes.

This role is open to both Full-Time and Part-Time candidates.

What the day will look like

  • Advise managers and colleagues on HR policies, employment practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with leaders to manage performance, resolve workplace issues, and drive engagement.
  • Conduct investigations and manage disciplinary processes with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support absence management, wellbeing initiatives, and flexible work arrangements.
  • Contribute to organisational change projects, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Collaborate with Employment Law and Compliance teams to mitigate risk and ensure best practice.
  • Participate in global HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Proven experience in employee relations or HR advisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive cases with discretion and integrity.
  • Analytical mindset and proficiency in HR systems and MS Office.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience in execution and implementation of change management activity
