ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an opportunity for a Senior Planner to join our City Chic team. 

Reporting directly to Head of Planning, and working in a friendly established team, you will utilise your analytical skills and not be afraid to have broad responsibilities and be flexible to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for City Chic online, dropship, wholesale, marketplace and concession partners.
  • Analyse historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by category and make strategic recommendations through inventory, product lifecycle & OTB management.
  • Management of OTB and WSSI.
  • Analyse and re-forecast actual sales to plan, whilst managing inventory levels, markdowns, promotions and profit.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product assortment strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Influence and strategically collaborate with buyers to ensure the area achieves, grows and exceeds all KPI's.
  • Produce and analyse weekly, monthly and seasonal reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our internal teams; buying, eCom, Merchandise planning, logistics, finance and production to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the flow of inventory.
  • Review and management of stock. Action markdowns and promotions as required.
  • Manage the fulfillment and ensure availability of partner requests for dropship, wholesale and marketplace.
  • Develop and coach direct reports to achieve performance expectations and individual career goals.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Planning apparel.
  • Extensive Retail Merchandise Planning experience within a fast paced environment, coupled with experience in managing a diverse portfolio of categories, lifestyles and core programmes.
  • Excellent understanding of/ability to interpret data, analytics, and retail sales trends.
  • Results oriented – driven and motivated, accountability is taken for performance and outcomes.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Able to prioritise, multitask, and deliver within deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, trading ability and a sense of ownership.
  • Able to meet new challenges and thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical background.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with experience of using a data warehouse.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with strong communication skills and an ability to build collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and open to new ideas and ways or working.
