Senior Policy Advisor , Transport and Main Roads

In the role of Senior Policy Advisor (Road Manager Policy) you will be accountable for the development and delivery of operational policy advice and recommendations in relation to heavy vehicles.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Support the delivery of enhanced policy, procedures and systems outcomes relating to heavy vehicle operations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and review of schemes, policy determinations and national notices.
• Inform Queensland's position on a range of national heavy vehicle reform projects, including the development of heavy vehicle road manager policy and reform initiatives with national impacts.
• Provide specialist advice relating to legislation and/or policy frameworks to support informed decision making on heavy vehicle reform, operational policy and legislative issues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and effective networks with internal and external stakeholders to consult, negotiate and work collaboratively on heavy vehicle reform projects.
