Senior Policy Officer (Temporary Opportunity - up to 12 months)

In this role, you'll:

This role will see you contribute to policy advancement and legislative work across a broad range of areas.

Your key responsibilities include supporting road safety and licensing legislation, as well as maintaining regulatory frameworks across major Acts.

You will be working on licensing and registration frameworks, addressing emerging issues such as e-bikes and changing travel behaviours.

You will conduct reviews of existing policy and regulatory settings to ensure they remain contemporary, effective, and fit for purpose.

About you

Your demonstrated experience in policy advancement, regulatory reform, or legislative processes will see you thrive in this role.

You bring strong analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail, along with highly effective written and verbal communication abilities.

You possess the capacity to think both creatively and logically when assessing policy options and their impacts.

An understanding of legislation and regulatory frameworks is essential, as is a proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
