Job Description - Senior Principal, Integration Specialist

About This Opportunity  

The Senior Principal, Integration Specialist provides technical leadership and deep expertise across the University’s integration and interoperability landscape. This role leads the architecture, design, development and operation of enterprise integration platforms and complex system-to-system solutions, while guiding teams to deliver reliable, scalable and reusable integration capabilities.

Operating across both transformational initiatives and core services, the role combines hands-on technical leadership with people leadership, governance contribution and strategic influence.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Lead the architecture, design and delivery of complex integration solutions, including APIs, data flows and system-to-system interfaces using modern, cloud-based technologies.

  • Provide technical leadership across integration platforms and services, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, reusable and aligned with enterprise standards.

  • Lead and support technical teams, providing mentoring, performance guidance and clear direction across operational and project delivery activities.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the University to provide trusted advice on integration patterns, platforms, governance and emerging technologies.

About You

You are a highly experienced integration specialist with strong architectural capability, proven leadership skills and a collaborative approach to solving complex technical challenges.

You will bring:

  • A degree in IT or a related field with postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards), or an equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Extensive experience architecting, designing, building and operating enterprise integration solutions using modern, cloud-based platforms

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to design solutions that integrate systems, data and processes across complex environments

  • Proven experience leading technical teams, projects and budgets while providing mentoring and technical leadership

  • Experience working within agile delivery environments and managing multiple concurrent initiatives

  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business audiences

  • Demonstrated commitment to establishing reusable integration patterns, APIs and governance frameworks

  • A strong track record of maintaining current knowledge of emerging integration technologies, standards and best practices
