Senior Process Engineer - Rapid Progression

Carnac is recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years' engineering in the mining, minerals, and chemical processing industries.  Our ideal team member will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership qualities. 

Precise technical skills, attention to detail and ability to coordinate with other engineering disciplines would be vital to this role. 

This permanent, full-time role is based at our head office in Myaree, 20 minutes south of the Perth CBD with ample parking, accessible by bus, and end-of-trip facilities. 

Reporting to the lead process engineer, responsibilities will include:

• Design and development of processes to optimise production efficiency.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, such as process design criteria, process flow diagrams and facility functional descriptions.
• Lead and mentor graduate engineers to design and develop processes.
• Identify and troubleshoot process issues.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of project goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to assist our clients with reducing waste, increasing efficiency and/or improving quality.

Qualifications and experience

• Tertiary process engineering or metallurgy qualifications recognised by the Institute of Engineers (Australia).
• Engineers Australia Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) credential is essential.
• SysCAD experience modelling many different types of processes from the simplest processing circuit through to complex full plant operations.
