Job Description - Senior Program Manager, Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

A Day in the Life

Medtronic is driving a functional transformation to improve business outcomes and accelerate value creation across region led markets. A key priority is advancing Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) as critical enablers of growth, service, and margin expansion.

As Senior Program Manager, IBP within our Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (COE), you will lead the deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of end to end IBP and S&OE capabilities across region led markets. This highly visible role is responsible for translating IBP maturity into tangible business outcomes, including improved forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation, service levels, and gross margin expansion aligned to AOP commitments.

Global Operations and Supply Chain (GO&SC) plays a vital role in Medtronic’s ambition to become the global healthcare technology leader, reaching more patients in more meaningful ways. This role is ideal for someone passionate about improving business performance and advancing the maturity of IBP processes in a world leading medical technology organisation.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Drive IBP and S&OE adoption and maturity across region-led markets, ensuring consistent execution of standardized processes while enabling flexibility for local business needs.
  • Lead the deployment and scaling of the E2E IBP framework, with clear accountability for delivering financial and operational outcomes including service, inventory, and margin improvement.
  • Own the alignment between IBP, S&OE, and financial plans (AOP), ensuring zero variance to plan and driving decision-making that supports gross margin expansion targets .
  • Partner directly with regional leadership to embed IBP and S&OE into day-to-day business execution, strengthening accountability in region-led markets.
  • Drive integration between IBP planning cycles and S&OE execution rhythms, ensuring rapid response to demand/supply variability and improved revenue realization.
  • Act as the strategic bridge between COE and regions, ensuring global standards are effectively translated into regional execution and business value.
  • Leverage AMPS (e.g., Anaplan) to enable scenario planning, decision support, and improved financial alignment across IBP and S&OE processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IBP governance and operating mechanisms, elevating maturity across demand, supply, portfolio, and financial integration steps.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience or an Advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant Supply Chain experience
  • Previous experience in implementing integrated business planning principles and best practices
  • Experience developing and implementing change initiatives requiring collaboration and influence management skills
  • Prior experience in Supply Chain utilising IBP or S&OP processes
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams and meetings across multiple time zones
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and project management skills
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers
  • Ability to understand key business concepts and communicate with business stakeholders
  • Work experience in a large, matrixed organisation structure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and to manage multiple priorities with competing demands
