We are an award-winning development and construction company based on the Gold Coast with offices also in Brisbane and Ballina – We currently have a rare opportunity available for a talented Senior Project Manager to join our Build team on the Gold Coast.
If you are a self-driven individual who is adept at developing project programs, have a solid understanding of the design process, proficient in procuring and coordinating trades, conducting site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes, and possess high quality communication skills then we would love to hear from you!
About the role
Manage all head contract claims (variations, extensions or time, progress etc.) and alert division manager/commercial manager of any claims which may put project at risk.
Prepare monthly project reports in relation to all financial aspects for presentation to division managers with assistance from Contracts Administrator
Manage Contract and Constructions Program
Approval and sign off on invoicing with limits of authority
Maintain a positive and proactive working environment for staff and subcontractors
Participate in regular HSEQ inspections
Review project documentation and identify ahead of works being carried out if there are any potential defects/and or project delays.
Provide support and assistance to estimating team to help procure work as required by division managers
Foster good working relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
Review, understand and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works/programmes prior to issue
Peruse in detail all project drawings, specification and all other relevant documentation prior to project commencement and throughout project duration.
Organise and chair project start up meetings
Identify, monitor and manage key project risks

About You - Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary qualification highly preferable or as a minimum, a relevant trade background supported by demonstrated performance in a similar role
10+ year experience as a Project Manager within the Building and Construction Sector
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to lead and motivate team members
High attention to detail
Be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
High level of digital proficiency
Commitment and understanding of the importance of time and financial goals
Jobpac and Procore experience highly desirable
