Senior Technology Project Manager - Financial Services

• Duration: 12-month contract with potential extensions
• Daily Rate: Up to $1,200 + Super per day (dependent on experience)
• Location: Sydney CBD, Hybrid

An exciting opportunity to partner with a leading Sydney-based financial services organisation to join a central enterprise delivery team supporting critical initiatives across the business.
This role is suited to a highly confident Project Manager with deep experience in Financial Services, who has led complex integration and transformation initiatives and is comfortable operating in environments where priorities evolve and detail is not always fully defined.

The Opportunity
You will be part of a central delivery capability responsible for driving high-impact projects. The portfolio includes multiple concurrent initiatives, with current priorities spanning:

Post-merger integration activities

AI-driven initiatives

Significant work within Cash Equities, a key strategic focus area for the business

The role requires a Senior Project Manager who can move confidently between workstreams, provide structure in ambiguity, and lead delivery through influence rather than hierarchy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects within a Financial Services environment

Drive integration initiatives, coordinating multiple teams, vendors and stakeholders

Navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities, bringing clarity and momentum where detail is incomplete.

Build strong relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders

Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery trade-offs

Contribute to business analysis activities where required, including requirements definition and process mapping

Essential Requirements

Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager within Financial Services specifically across banking, capital markets, trading, wealth or investments.

Demonstrated delivery of complex integration or post-merger initiatives

Highly confident stakeholder manager, able to engage credibly with senior leaders

Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with limited upfront definition

Pragmatic, delivery-focused approach with strong judgement and adaptability

Leadership, communication and execution capability are critical.
