As a Senior Project Manager within our Major Projects division, you will independently manage the full project lifecycle for multiple projects, including project scope, budget, schedule, quality, procurement, resources, communications and risks.
You will manage the development of contract specifications, conduct tender evaluations and administer contracts with external design, construction and testing contractors and your understanding of substation construction from design to delivery will be critical.
You will also provide assistance to the leadership of the project team and engage across different functional groups and divisions, to create readiness for change and drive project team performance. This capability will be a critical factor to your overall success.
Working within our Major Projects Division, you will join the Delivery Launch team reporting to the Senior Project Management Lead. The team exists to manage and deliver a portfolio of major projects for the Central Queensland region comprising the design and delivery of both substations and lines, creating opportunities to innovate and help drive this once in a lifetime transition.
Whilst the position will be based in Bowen Hills, there will be some requirement to travel to our field operations occasionally.
You will demonstrate significant experience leading the delivery of multiple complex infrastructure construction projects within the electrical industry, preferably with knowledge of transmission lines and HV substations (132KV and above).
You will be highly skilled at fostering relationships, with proven success in managing, leading, coaching and mentoring a project team, including contractors and delivery partners.
This extends to your ability to demonstrate the application of safe systems of work, resulting in a safety first culture.
