Senior Project Manager | Enterprise Email Marketing Solution

• Initial contract to start ASAP until 30/06/2025 with possible extension paying approx. $1,000/day


• Brisbane CBD location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week

Our client, Department of Education, are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to manage an ICT Enabled Project. The initial project assignment is to provide a high level of specialist project management support to an Enterprise Email Marketing Solution (EEMS) Project.

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Leading a project team to meet project deliverables, objectives and stakeholder expectations


• Preparing key project artefacts in accordance with the Department's governance and framework requirements, stakeholder management, resource management, task allocation, reporting, project board requirements, and change management plans and strategies.


• Developing and executing activities related to end-to-end project management, including project plans and estimates, scoping and requirements through implementation and deployment.


• Proactively monitoring, managing and reporting on execution of project deliverables.


• Communicating effectively using multiple methods (verbal, written and nonverbal) and channels with stakeholders, including team and sponsors across multiple aspects of the project.


• Actively managing the current integrated project schedule ensuring appropriate change management activities are undertaken to enable a smooth transition to BAU.


• Delivering continuous improvements to the operating model, in consultation with the IT Project Board, Customer and Supplier.

Candidates will be assessed on the following criteria:

1. Highly developed leadership, Agile project management, multifunctional team leadership skills as demonstrated by effectiveness in achieving organisational objectives and contributing to enhanced organisational performance


2. Demonstrated achievement in the design, development, implementation and application of PRINCE2 Agile methodology to ICT projects from Initiation to Closing.


3. Well- developed understanding of the application of change management processes and the impact of change on individuals and work groups within large customer-focused organisations.


4. High level analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills as evidenced by a record of achievement in the research and solution of complex problems within a large, diverse environment


5. Well-developed skills in the preparation and presentation of substantial reports and highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, including proven achievement in effectively liaising, consulting and negotiating with stakeholder groups, vendors, senior executive management and project sponsors.

• Demonstrated recent ability to successfully deliver ICT Projects in a large, complex environment within a governance framework

• Hybrid Waterfall / Agile implementation

• Experience working in complex education or government environments
