Senior Project Manager - Immediate Start

PM-Partners are seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our government client with a new project aimed to automate the input of data via automated data extracts between two core systems, eliminating the need for repetitive manual data entry.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering:

• Program Schedule Document
• Program Status Report
• Program Budget Tracking
• Project Management
• Project Meetings, agenda and minutes (when required)

Location: 3 days on-site Melbourne CBD office, 2 days WFH flexibility

Duration: 12 Month, daily rate contract with likely extensions into 2025!

Daily Rate: $800 - $900 including super

To be considered for this position you will have experience and strengths in the following: 

• 5+ yrs senior project management experience including delivery with agile and hybrid methodologies
• Experience delivering complex and critical IT solutions 
• Experience working within complex ICT environments (preferably within government sector)
• Extensive experience in managing software development and or COTS implementation
• Familiarity with web technologies (RESTful APIs, HTTPS, etc)
• Familiarity with common public health systems and technology (highly desirable)
• Experience in direct communication with senior management and the project governance authorities (Business Sponsor, project board, steering committee, etc.) 
• Strong experience delivering projects for government departments
• Experience with negotiating with users, technical staff, and product owners to achieve desired outcomes.
• Strong vendor management experience and skills
• Formal project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, PMBOK, etc...
• Demonstrated ability to work with customer’s operations, engineering and architecture teams, and build relationships with key customer stakeholders, and become a trusted advisor. 
• Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, project scope, budget and timelines effectively at a program level
• Comfortable being the senior key escalation point for project risk and issues 
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
