Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to join GHD’s national Delivery Phase Services (DPS) business with a focus on the Resources sector and ability to be based in our Brisbane office.

This role would suit an experienced Project Manager or Study Manager with experience in consulting or EPCM services, and a strong electrical engineering foundation who can confidently lead complex multi-disciplined projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. You'll be someone who values collaboration, long-term client partnerships and making a lasting contribution to the projects and teams you support.

Working within our project delivery business, you'll play a key role in leading studies, managing multidisciplinary teams, and guiding projects from early-stage concept and feasibility through detailed design, execution and handover.

We are particularly interested in individuals who have built their careers within engineering consulting environments and have experience delivering major non-process infrastructure projects for mining and resources clients. 

This position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Leading studies, feasibility assessments, options evaluations and concept development activities
• Managing major projects from study phase through to detailed design, execution and close-out
• Managing scope, schedule, budget, risk and stakeholder expectations
• Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams
• Working directly with mining and resources clients to define project requirements and delivery strategies
• Supporting business development activities and proposal preparation where required
• Managing project governance, reporting and client communications
• Providing leadership and mentoring to project teams

What you will bring to the team: 

• Proven success as a Project Manager or Study Manager within the mining, resources or industrial sectors, delivering outcomes across multiple project phases while building trusted relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams
• A history of providing continuity of leadership and delivery, guiding projects and client relationships from studies through to execution
• Strong exposure to feasibility, definition, detailed design, execution and project close-out activities
• A consulting or EPCM background gained within engineering advisory and delivery environments
• Electrical engineering qualifications, coupled with technical involvement in power, utilities or broader infrastructure projects
• Sound knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, risk management and stakeholder engagement
• Capability to lead multidisciplinary teams and navigate complex project interfaces
• Well-developed communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across technical, commercial and client stakeholders at varying levels
• Commercial acumen including the management of contracts, preparation of project execution plans, budgets, schedules and delivery strategies
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering
