Senior Risk Manager - Room for Advancement

Our client is a leading industry super fund who are looking at brining on a Senior Risk Manager. This person will play a pivotal role in leading the end-to-end risk function and driving improvement across the business. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership and make the role their own.
  
Reporting directly to the Head of Risk and Compliance your main responsibilities are:  

• Identify areas of weakness and understanding whether these are capability or capacity related and develop plans.
• Build and implement risk polices throughout the organisation.
• Further strengthen and improve 2nd Line challenge and oversight of the overall control framework.
• Business Partnering with senior executives and management.
• Developing policies and procedures.
• Advise on Risk issues in relation to product initiatives and reviews.
• Managing over a team of 2 risk professionals.

  
The ideal candidate will have:  

• 8-12+ years Risk Management within financial services.
• Comprehensive insight into operational risk and regulatory risk
• Thorough knowledge of regulations, controls, and have confidence over the operations of the business.
• Strong internal and external stakeholder management experience
