Senior Risk Specialist

As a Senior Risk Specialist, Incident Management, you'll support Product & Services to identify, assess and manage incidents, strengthen controls, prevent recurrence, and meet regulatory obligations. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to provide expert guidance on incident management, contribute to risk uplift initiatives, and help embed consistent application of the enterprise risk management framework.

You'll use your analytical capability to identify emerging trends, translate incident insights into practical recommendations, and influence improvements across processes, governance, controls, and capability. Working with a broad range of stakeholders, you'll provide support on complex incidents, remediation activities, reporting requirements, and risk-related decision making.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane.

• Support the consistent application of risk management, incident management and remediation frameworks across Product & Services.
• Analyse incident trends and data to identify emerging risks and recommend practical improvements.
• Review, screen and authorise complex or higher-risk incidents within approved delegations and governance requirements.
• Prepare high-quality incident papers, remediation strategies and decision-making documentation.
• Support the development and coaching of Risk Specialists through training and quality assurance activities.
• Assist with workflow management, prioritisation and monitoring of complex incident matters.
• Partner with Compliance and business stakeholders to support breach reporting and regulatory investigations.
• Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and provide guidance to stakeholders across the organisation.
• Promote a proactive and positive risk culture through sound judgement, collaboration and effective stakeholder engagement.

• You have demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, business improvement, or a related discipline.
• Your stakeholder management skills enable you to build trusted relationships across leadership teams and business functions.
• You'll bring experience managing remediation plans, projects, or initiatives that address control gaps and strengthen risk management practices.
• You're able to exercise sound judgement when handling sensitive information and making risk-based decisions.
• You have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities from complex data.
• Your written and verbal communication skills allow you to simplify complex issues for a range of audiences.
• You'll have experience preparing reports, recommendations and documentation for senior stakeholders.
• You're comfortable working independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• You hold relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
• Your knowledge of superannuation, insurance, risk frameworks, or regulatory environments will be highly regarded.
• You'll have exposure to incident management, compliance reporting, governance processes, or related systems.
