Global Payments Solutions (GPS) is made up of almost 10,000 people, across more than 60 countries. The business is uniquely positioned to help clients make payments across borders, across currencies and regulations, quickly and cost effectively with dedicated in country and regional support. Our expertise in this area is repeatedly recognised by the industry’s most prominent publications and associations with numerous global, regional and country awards.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Sales Manager, to join the GPS team. With a focus on driving sales growth through maintaining and enhancing existing revenue streams, while also developing new opportunities, you will identify and sell innovative GPS solutions to a portfolio of public sector, insurance, asset management and financial institution clients.

Taking on this role, you will be involved with engaging and leading local, regional and global stakeholders on deals and proactive initiatives, imparting knowledge of global payments and clearing services, products and techniques, while also leading client workshops and roadshows.

You will be joining a high performing sales team with a rich foundation built on experience, self-motivation and drive. We provide hybrid working and a variety of Employee Resource Groups, providing support aligned with individual interests and personal situations.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Operating as a GPS specialist, displaying competent knowledge of relevant products and services and acting as a lead sales representative on key opportunities.
  • Business development from new and existing clients covering Public Sector, Insurance and Asset Management, along with involvement in Banking and Non-Banking Financial Institutions.
  • Engaging with key executive level internal and external stakeholders, including Public Sector agencies, building relationships to open opportunities and expand the portfolio.
  • Liaising closely with Relationship Managers and other inhouse product partners working with the global HSBC network, providing integrated solutions and engagement to clients.
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing revenue streams and developing new revenue streams by identifying and selling innovative Global Payments Solutions.
  • Enhancing client relationship with a high level of client experience
  • Managing RfP proposal process and presenting client centric presentations.
  • Contributing to pricing, reviewing and negotiating the full range of payments solutions services together with efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to other Sales Managers and team members as a senior member of the GPS sales team.
  • Championing industry and technology changes in this market segment.
  • Participating in marketing initiatives to strengthen the HSBC brand and showcase the bank’s capabilities.
