Who we are looking for

We are looking for a high-performing Senior Software Engineer with a strong proficiency in building modern C# .NET Core/.NET 8 (5+ years) web applications, including front-end skills (React), using cloud services (Amazon), is self-directed, an effective communicator, and takes ownership and responsibility for their work to ensure successful business and client outcomes.

You will be contributing to the development of the GXE SaaS platform and supporting infrastructure by writing new features, gathering requirements, fixing bugs and contributing to the technical roadmap. As a small yet agile team, you will have opportunities to contribute across the entire technical stack, from development improvements to production infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and maintain high quality software while supporting users and staying current with modern development practices.
• Lead with accountability, drive strong execution and champion an exceptional client experience.
• Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand needs, shape product direction and ensure solutions deliver real value.
• Collaborate with the team, share knowledge and demonstrate progress to strengthen delivery outcomes.
• Support sales and client success teams by contributing to potential opportunities when needed.

Success Metrics

In your first week you will meet the wider team, get familiar with the technical environment and deliver your first changes to production. This period is about orientation, building context and getting hands on immediately.

Across your first month you will deepen your understanding of GXE’s strategy, platform and clients. You will work across the codebase, join reviews, absorb the team’s standards and gain visibility into current projects. You will also align with your manager on clear short and long term goals.

By the end of your first three months and beyond you will take ownership of increasingly meaningful features and projects, work directly with stakeholders and clients, contribute to planning and documentation, and shape the technical roadmap. You will broaden your impact across the stack and refine your approach through regular feedback.

The team

You will be reporting to our CTO Andrew Armstrong.

You have

• Strong proficiency writing modern C# .NET Core / .NET 8 (5+ years) web applications
• Comfortable with front end development (React, TypeScript)
• Proficient with GitHub, CI/CD, unit testing, PostgreSQL, and delivering well-tested code
• Experience integrating with cloud platforms (Amazon / Azure / Google)
• Self-directed and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to delivering successful outcomes at a fast pace with attention to detail
• Effective communication, time management and collaboration skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and on your own
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products in a fast-paced environment
• A deep practical understanding of software development and awareness of industry trends
