As a Senior Software Engineer on our Algorithm Team, you will work closely within a heterogenous team of C++, Python and UI software engineers to develop, build, and verify the next generation of our world-leading image processing and flow analysis algorithms. You will work on designing, developing and improving our lung structure, heart structure and lung function analysis software, making use of both conventional image processing and ML methods. You will play an important part of a small but dedicated team in delivering world-leading medical image analysis technology to our customers – ensuring that our deployments are secure, maintainable, and compliant with rigorous regulatory standards.  You will play an integral role in supporting the transition of the software releases to production and seek opportunities for continuous improvement to better support our production deployments.

          Duties 

• Design, develop and improve image analysis software.


• Continuous agile iteration.


• Collaborate with other teams to ensure design and implementation meet requirements.


• Write or update design, verification and validation documents.
  
  Experience
   


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.


• 10 years solid experience in modern C++ and/or extensive experience in clean, well-structured Python.


• Experience with Digital Image Processing.


• Experience in machine learning techniques, both training and inference 


• Proven experience working in a highly test-driven environment


• Experience in developing on Linux with containerised images.
  
  

         Desirable

• Experience in machine learning techniques, both training and inference.


• Experience in web frontend development, with a focus on presenting and rendering data consistently


• Experience in highly-regulated industries such as medical and finance software will be helpful, but not essential.
