Senior Software Engineer

This Australian startup is on a mission to transform their industry by automating workflows with real-time data. Their software solution ditches the need for paper and spreadsheets, leading to increased efficiency and reduced errors on multi-million dollar projects.

Since launching in 2022, they've grown rapidly, empowering businesses and large-scale projects across Australia and New Zealand.

Working in a cross functional team of designers and engineers, you'll be continuing to scale the platform with new features, whilst working in close collaboration with their customers.

The Role:

You'll play a key role in building, managing, and shaping the future of the web applications. This will be slightly more weighted towards the frontend (60/40). 

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate on back-end web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop engaging front-end single-page applications using React. 
• Design and implement robust APIs.
• Partner with various teams to craft solutions.
• Write clean, scalable code. 
• Gather valuable feedback from customers. 

What They're Looking For:

• 4 + years as software engineer
• 3 + years using Ruby on Rails - Would also consider somebody with a different backend technology if they're willing to learn Ruby.
• 3 + years Frontend experience. 
• Strong foundation in server-side development.
• In-depth understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and database design. 
• Excellent communication and some stakeholder management experience. 

Bonus Points if You Have:

• Experience with cloud services
• A knack for data analysis and debugging
• Experience implementing various tests across platforms
• A startup mindset
• A problem-solving attitude
• Initiative and a willingness to think outside the box
• A desire to learn and grow
