Step into Retail Technology as a Senior Software Engineer .NET Full Stack, building platforms that support millions of Australians through critical financial moments. In the Apply with Ease Crew, you will shape the Home Loan Origination journey end to end, delivering intuitive front-end experiences backed by resilient, cloud native .NET services. This is engineering at true scale, where you solve complex workflows, handle high-value transactions and design modern architectures that sit at the core of digital banking. Your work directly influences how customers navigate one of life’s biggest decisions, buying a home.

You will focus on the Settlement domain, simplifying electronic property settlements through PEXA and streamlining payments and orchestration. Leveraging AI, automation and event driven systems, you will build solutions that are faster, smarter and more reliable. You will collaborate with strong engineers and product leaders, contribute to design decisions and elevate engineering standards across the crew. This is a role with clear ownership, meaningful challenges and visible impact, where your expertise transforms complexity into seamless customer experiences.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

• Partner seamlessly within a core trio Product, Design, Engineering to deeply understand user and business problems and co-create high-impact solutions.

• Subject matter expertise developing in C# .NET Core backend is essential, with the ability to pivot into full‑stack development (React, Next.js, TypeScript) when required, supported by modern practices across cloud, APIs, testing, DevOps, observability, messaging and databases.

• Drive technical design, architecture, and delivery while shaping engineering direction and influencing best practices across the team.

• Own the full product lifecycle end to end from ideation and design through to build, testing, release, and continuous improvement.

• Demonstrate strong expertise in modern development practices with excellent coding and comprehensive testing including unit, integration, and system testing.

• Demonstrate expertise in leveraging AI tools, LLMs, and agentic AI to enhance products and workflows.

• Stay ahead of emerging AI trends and drive their safe, practical, and creative adoption within engineering teams.

• Act as a technical thought leader, influencing engineering culture, evaluating new technologies, and guiding strategic engineering decisions.

• Take full accountability for quality, advocating for high standards in code, testing, and documentation while owning QA end to end.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders while mentoring peers and thriving in high-ownership, fast-paced environments.

Tech skills 

We don't expect you to know everything, but experience in several of the following will set you up for success:

• Backend: C# - .NET Core – essentially, Node.js (nice to have)

• Frontend: Next.js, React.js, TypeScript,  

• Testing: Unit, Integration, End-to-End (E2E) test automation

• Cloud: AWS, Azure

• API Development: Scalable, high-performance, secure APIs

• DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus)

• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK Stack, Datadog

• Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS, Azure Service Bus

• Database: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server

• Engineering Lifecycle: Full-cycle software engineering
