Job Description

This is a true leadership role, requiring you to work alongside the Head Chef to drive the food offer and manage the team in this dynamic Inner-city restaurant. This restaurant strives to be the best in all aspects of its operation, delivering a positive, inclusive and welcoming culture for colleagues and customers alike.

First and foremost, you will be responsible for the performance of your own team including hiring, training and developing, driving their performance and standards and giving them the tools to succeed. You will also oversee the organisational requirements of the kitchen including scheduling, ordering kitchen health and safety compliance, and everything in between. This is a true leadership role.

The ability to manage people appropriately is essential to success in this role.

Candidate Profile
 
To be successful in this role you will have: 

Experience as a senior Chef in an up-market, busy establishment

Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously 

The authority to command respect 

High food standards in both taste and presentation 

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment 

Strong kitchen organisational skills

Team player skills and lead by example
