Senior Sous Chef - Start Immediately

With a portfolio of iconic venues, Whitehouse Property Group are a family run Hotel Group and The Vicar – Dural is looking for a Senior Sous Chef to help lead the team at our recently re-developed Hotel in the heart of The Hills.

Roles & responsibilities: 

• Report directly to Head Chef and combine to lead the venue
• Assisting the creative control and influence on the menu, writing recipes, creating whole dishes, recipe cards and the like
• Quality control - food quality & service - delivering the “wow” moments the Hill's Locals deserve
• Stock control, adhering to budgets and maximising supplier relationships
• Function experience - ability to coordinate tasks and manage functions such as canapes for cocktail parties & set menus for the restaurant and events
• Day to day assisting operations in the kitchen and coordinating service 
• Training and mentoring the team 
• Maintaining a clean operation, ensuring compliance with Food Safety Standards and equipment maintenance

Must Have: 

2 years experience in a senior chef role either Sous, Senior Sous, or Head Chef role. 

Experience in menu writing and creating the dining experience 

Experience in building and running a large team
