Join Exceptional Women's Health Team in Coastal Central Queensland

We’re looking for a passionate and highly skilled Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Obstetrics and Gynaecology) to join a busy and supportive team delivering comprehensive women’s health services in beautiful Central Queensland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership-level position within a well-integrated hospital and health service, renowned for its team-based, networked approach to care across the region.

Why This Role?

You’ll work in a progressive health service that takes a coordinated, regional approach to O&G – providing high-quality, patient-centred care to a diverse community.

The department supports a full range of Obstetrics and Gynaecology services, including antenatal and postnatal care, high-risk pregnancy management, general gynaecology, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and fertility investigations.

You’ll also play a pivotal role in teaching, mentoring junior staff and registrars, and contributing to service improvement and innovation. This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to shape the future of women’s health in a fast-growing region.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Fellowship of RANZCOG (or equivalent) and registration (or eligibility) as a Specialist with AHPRA
  • Proven clinical leadership and a strong commitment to collaborative, team-based care
  • A passion for teaching, service development, and continuous improvement
  • Adaptability and resilience – we value innovative thinkers who thrive in a regional setting

What’s On Offer:

  • Total remuneration up to $483,588 p.a., depending on experience (L18–L27)
  • Attractive salary range:
    • $210,332 – $244,313 (L18–L24)
    • $251,527 – $266,677 (L25–L27)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation
  • 17.5% annual leave loading
  • Generous leave entitlements and flexible work arrangements
  • Relocation support and professional development opportunities
  • A collaborative and welcoming workplace culture

Live the Lifestyle

This regional city offers an unbeatable mix of professional challenge and laid-back coastal living. With national parks, the Great Barrier Reef, and stunning beaches all within easy reach, it’s the perfect place to achieve true work-life balance. Whether you’re raising a family, advancing your career, or seeking a fresh start, you’ll find what you’re looking for here.
