Job Description - Senior Strategic Communication Officers

The key duties of the position include:

Our Senior Strategic Communication Officers plan and deliver communication materials and tactics to communicate important information to key target audiences and stakeholders via a range of digital channels.  The role develops communication strategies and supports the implementation of a range of consistent and coordinated communication activities including web content, mailouts and newsletters, social media and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with key stakeholders across the department and more broadly across government, this role ensures communication activities are well planned, coordinated and meet the needs of target audiences.  Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge and experience in delivering great communication outcomes, through great communication strategies and products and using contemporary digital media.

Citizenship: Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the APS unless the Agency delegate has agreed, in writing. Security Clearance: This is a designated security assessed position. The successful candidate will have the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
