  • Identify and drive proactive media and communications opportunities, working closely with EPA’s media team.

  • Develop high‑quality external communications, including campaign materials, messaging and content across channels.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with taskforce partners, including councils, industry and government stakeholders.

  • Provide senior‑level strategic communications advice across EPA, supporting high‑profile work.

Skills and experience:

  • Proven experience delivering senior‑level strategic communications in a complex or government environment.

  • Strong external communications focus, with experience working across multiple channels and audiences.

  • Experience managing high‑profile, sensitive communications, including media engagement.

  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling content for diverse audiences, including ministerial materials.

  • Creative and strategic thinker, able to develop fresh approaches to influence behaviour change and deliver impact.
