Senior Systems Engineer V&V

📢 We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (V&V) to join our multidisciplined team on a large-scale project for one of our premium clients.

🔹The initial contract is for 6 months with the possibility of extending.

🔹This role has flexibility for the successful candidate to work from the office in Canberra (preferred) or Melbourne, and has a hybrid working model, allowing a couple of days per week working from home.

🔹The nature of this role requires candidates to be an Australian citizen 

🔹A current Australian security clearance of NV1 or above would be preferred.

🔷 As a Senior System Engineer (V&V) you will be a good fit for the role if you:

• Have experience with Systems Engineering frameworks as well as Verification and Validation (V&V) processes including developing and delivering V&V Plans, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), Acceptance Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports.
• Experience preparing well-structured and concise V&V documentation.
• Be proficient at providing V&V guidance and reviewing V&V deliverables.
• Experience overseeing the verification of systems to ensure compliance with specifications, and early identification and resolution of issues.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Previous experience writing, maintaining, and obtaining approval of test plans for large scale, multidiscipline projects.
• Proficient in requirements management and resolving requirement ambiguity.
• Experience in the integration of software intensive systems.
• Experience in the use of a requirements management toolset.
• Previous experience within the aviation industry would be looked upon favourably.
• Be a self-starter with a proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
• Be able to work unsupervised and to lead a multi-discipline team of engineers and technical personnel.

🔷 You will be responsible for the below Verification and Validation activities: 

• Responsible for developing, maintenance and delivery of V&V Plans, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM), Acceptance Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports.
• Providing V&V guidance and review V&V deliverables.
• Overseeing the progressive verification of systems to ensure compliance with specifications and early identification and resolution of issues.
• Ensuring a consistent V&V approach and quality is maintained across the project.
• Responsible for the design, execution and review of software Verification and Validation test procedures.
• Plan test environment and internal/external automatic testing tools ensuring that software requirements are implemented correctly.
• Develop, Review and Submit test reports in accordance with V&V plans and customer requirements.
• Document all test failures and observations.
• Prepare resolution plans for testing shortfalls.
• Working with recognised systems engineer framework based such as SCRUM.
• Running tests from the client site in their environment.

 🎓 Academic Qualifications and Certifications: 

• Bachelor of Engineering in any engineering field or Diploma
• Related qualifications and certifications will be looked upon favourably.
