Senior Tax Advisor

As the senior tax advisor, this individual will take ownership of business wide FBT and GST compliance and advisory.

An opportunity to join an industry leading, global business has arisen. As the senior tax advisor, this individual will take ownership of business wide FBT and GST compliance and advisory. The responsibilities

Reporting into the Head of Tax, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

• Provide technical support on tax matters and assist with general tax compliance and tax risk management
• Prepare FBT returns for various entities within the group for review by Head of Tax
• Monthly preparation of consolidated BAS including BAS for various joint venture/Alliance entities for review by Head of Tax
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated company tax return
• Preparation of partnership tax returns for review by Head of Tax
• Monthly review of relevant accounts for issues impacting income tax, GST and FBT returns
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliation of all relevant tax accounts
• Assist with the ongoing review, development and improvement of taxation systems, risk management and processes/procedures
• Assist with research of tax issues
• Assist in the provision of training to relevant staff
• Liaise and build working relationships with Human Resources, Legal and Project and Commercial staff
• Other duties from time to time as may be required

The successful applicant will have Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional with exposure to both FBT and GST taxation compliance. You will have a Mid-tier chartered background with some business services exposure or 2-3 years of relevant commercial experience. Additional benefits
