Job Summary

We are looking to hire an experienced Senior Technical developer in java who has also been a manager to oversee the design and implementation of our clients' IT systems. As this will be an architectural and a managerial role, you will be responsible for meeting with the IT Manager  to discuss company processes, designing the structure of enterprise level IT systems, overseeing the project implementation, and measuring the performance of the new system.

To ensure success as a  Senior Technical developer in java, you should have extensive knowledge of enterprise networking systems, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage. A top-class Technical Architect and java developer who has been a manager can design and implement any size system to perfectly meet the needs of the client and help to run the IT department and team.

Responsibilities:

• Coding in Java, mysql, and javascript
• Meeting with the IT manager or CEO to determine the company’s current and future needs.
• Keeping the software platform current and updated by means of be upgrades or new system installs.
• Providing the company IT employees with design ideas and schematics.
• Project managing the design and implementation of the system.
• Ensuring that the development roadmap is managed and followed by your team
• Meeting clients of the business or the internal team to build an IT Solution that suits the clients’ requirements
• Meeting with the software developers to discuss the system software needs.
• Troubleshooting systems issues as they arise.
• Working with the development team to resolve software bugs in a timely and effective manner
• Overseeing all the moving parts of the system integration.
• Measuring the performance of the upgraded or newly installed system.
• Managing the offshore development team for their routine tasks
• Training staff on system procedures.
• Providing the company with post-installation feedback.

Selection Criteria

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of at least 10 years’ experience
• Experience in developing Java is a must
• Development experience must be current
• Managerial experience is required
• In-depth knowledge of MySQL and Apache Tomcat
• Experience in other areas like Machine Learning, Artificial intelligence, and Text Mining is desired.
• Experience of working on Google Analytics, SA360, or other type of analytics.
• Must be logical and creative thinker.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and networking systems.
• Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and Office software.
• Advanced project management skills.
• Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications.
• Ability to problem solve complex IT issues.
• This is Sydney based role required to work from the Bondi Junction based office at least three days a week.

We would like to find someone who is good in Java and JavaScript’s and all frontend technology and will be able to code or direct people how to code.

You will be one of the senior resources who will guide the technical direction of the company.
