Senior Transmission Line Engineer/Design Manager

About the Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Transmission Lines Engineer/Design Manager to join our Perth office. The Senior Transmission Lines Engineer / Design Manager will build and maintain strong relationships across our client base and facilitate the effective delivery of design packages to our client’s expectations. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating teams of engineers to successfully deliver transmission lines projects.

Your key duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Day-to-day management of the design, including leading design meetings with the client and internal engineering team to ensure the program is achieved
• Identify any issues that will impede the delivery of design and make recommendations to resolve them so that program/cost/quality outcomes are achieved
• Lead and manage the RFI and change control process, and review design packages through to signoff
• Provide advice on risks and opportunities and actively seek and promote innovation
• Own the client relationship and ensure that optimal client and business outcomes are achieved, in a safe and sustainable way
• Design of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD software

 
Requirements 

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in design, costing, estimating, and/or planning
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, civil or structural engineering, and/or project management qualification
• Proficient in PLS software
• Demonstrated capability in the development of innovative concepts for solutions to technical, complex issues
• Competent understanding of Australian and International codes and standards and risk and contingency assessment
• Competent in the use of MS Office and MS Project
