Senior Vehicle Buyer

As a key Senior Automotive Purchaser/Buyer, you will play a crucial role in sourcing inbound vehicles while also identifying opportunities to offload cars to external wholesalers when needed. You will be responsible for evaluating vehicles using industry tools, negotiating competitive deals, and ensuring a smooth acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Vehicle Procurement – Secure a minimum of 20 cars per month from inbound sources while proactively sourcing additional stock through wholesalers, brokers, and dealers.

✔ Market Evaluation – Utilise platforms such as Autogate, Autograb, and Eval to assess vehicle pricing, demand, and profitability.

✔ Wholesale & Retail Coordination – Assist in offloading surplus vehicles to external wholesalers and maximize resale opportunities.

✔ Process Compliance – Adhere to structured buying parameters as outlined by the Buying Management Team.

✔ Autonomous Decision-Making – Operate independently with minimal supervision while ensuring compliance with company processes and objectives.

✔ Negotiation & Relationship Management – Develop strong relationships with suppliers, dealers, and auction platforms to optimize sourcing opportunities.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an automotive sales, pricing, or wholesale business.
• Proven track record in purchasing prestige vehicles.
• Experienced user of Autogate, Autograb, Eval, and other industry databases for vehicle evaluation.
• Strong organizational skills – Ability to manage multiple sourcing channels effectively.
• Self-sufficient and team-oriented – Works collaboratively but doesn’t require constant oversight.
• Process-driven – Ensures compliance with all purchasing parameters and company policies

Preferred but Not Essential:

Experience working with Instant Offer, Auto Auctions, and Internet Car Buying/Selling platforms (FlipAuto, Autoflip, etc.).

• Previous experience in family car buying.
• Retail car selling experience.
