Job Description - Senior WHSE Advisor | Civil Construction

Progress your career working with a leading civil contracting company  supporting Civil Construction projects across Infrastructure, Subdivisions, Community Projects, and Roadworks.

Career opportunity for an experienced Workplace Health & Safety Advisor supporting projects across the Ipswich Region.  You will work hand-in-hand with the Project Site Teams, delivering impactful health and safety outcomes and initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with WHS policies and procedures
  • Contribute to maintaining, recommending and implementing continuous improvements of WHSE programs
  • Provide guidance and continuous feedback to employees on safe working procedures
  • Establish collaborative and supportive relationships to achieve effective safety outcomes
  • Support and facilitate incident investigation processes

About you
As an experienced Safety professional, you'll demonstrate: 

  • Proven experience within a HSE role and delivering health and safety outcomes on civil projects
  • Certificate IV in OHS
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation, regulation and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of Government training polices and Indigenous Procurement 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule Safety Programs
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook,Word
  • Ability to lead HSE communications in small groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop good rapport with people at all levels
  • Hold a current Drivers licence with reliable transport
