Job Description - Serenade Café Assistant - Monday afternoon - Residential Care Volunteer

Do you love the smell of coffee, the joy of community, and the magic of music? Then come join us at Serenade Café, where the kettle’s always on, the smiles are warm, and the tunes are flowing!

We’re looking for cheerful volunteers to help run our community café – and if you enjoy a good sing-along, you’ll fit right in! Whether it’s humming along to golden oldies or leading a chorus of “You Are My Sunshine,” music is a big part of the Serenade Café experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Welcoming guests and serving tea, coffee, and treats

• Helping set up and pack down the café space

• Joining in or helping lead light-hearted sing-alongs

• Creating a warm, inclusive, and musical atmosphere

Whether you're a retiree, student, or someone with a few hours to spare, Serenade Café is the perfect place to make a difference – one cuppa and one chorus at a time.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
