Job Description - Service Administrator

We are in need of an adaptable Service Administrator to join our fast-paced team at S&you in Marsden Park, Sydney NSW.

Position: Service Administrator
Location: Marsden Park, NSW – Parking Onsite
Casual Hourly Rate: $41.11 per hour + super
Duration: 3 months with a possible view to extend

Our client is seeking a key player in their Service team. As a Service Administrator, you will be assisting with all service inquiries coming through from customers, who are needing support with their product. It is ESSENTIAL that the successful candidate has a technical aptitude, the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot when needed and respond to customers in a respectful and sympathetic manner, whilst working towards a solution.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Administrator to join our clients team. If you have at least 3 years of experience in an administrative role/customer service and possess resilience and problem solving skills, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Customer/Technical Support

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries including dealers, installers, end users, and service technicians.
  • Provide basic service technical support and escalate complex issues.
  • Liaise with supervisors and the engineering department to resolve technical matters.
  • Provide customers with relevant information and documentation.

Customer Follow-Up

  • Keep dealers/installers updated on the status and outcome of warranty service calls.
  • Follow up with Authorised Service Centres on outstanding parts and disputed accounts.
  • Assist with following up on outstanding service quotations.

Cross Functional Support/Training

  • Assist other company personnel as needed.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and relevant training programs.
  • Stay informed about current technology impacting the organization.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings.

General Administration

  • When needed, assist with accounts receivable invoices.
  • Assist in the collation of paperwork for credit processing
  • Assist with raising purchase orders and following up on invoices.
  • Perform general administrative duties such as photocopying, emailing, and filing quality incident reports.
  • Follow up on outstanding service calls and close off jobs.
  • Maintain accurate service job histories.
  • Log service call requests and prioritize them according to company guidelines.

  • Sympathetic towards customers 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in customer service or administrative roles
  • Experience in a similar industry is desired
