About the Role


Are you passionate about healthcare technology and eager to make a meaningful contribution in the medical industry?


We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our friendly and supportive team based in Norwest, NSW. In this role, you’ll be part of a dedicated service team providing high-quality technical support to customers across our medical device portfolio.


 


Key Responsibilities



  • Respond to customer technical enquiries, providing timely and professional on-site and workshop repair services.

  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) services in accordance with service manuals and scheduled timelines.

  • Complete new product installations, including all necessary checks and testing.

  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation within the CRM system.

  • Provide technical support to the Sales and Marketing teams during pre-sales activities.

  • Manage your assigned service area, including promoting service contracts and liaising with customers on renewals.

  • Ensure proper care, calibration, and management of tools, test equipment, and loaner/parts inventory.

  • Share responsibility for after-hours service calls with other engineers on a rotating basis.


 


About You



  • Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, or qualifications in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering.

  • Previous experience in a hospital or medical device environment is highly regarded.

  • Working knowledge of patient monitors, anaesthetic machines, and ultrasound systems is preferred.

  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trusted, respectful relationships.

  • Effective time management and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. 

  • Fast learner with a curious, problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

  • Willingness to travel as required (valid driver’s licence and own vehicle essential).
