Job Description - Service & Insurance Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced customer service provider who can assist us with face-to-face servicing and management of claims.

About the role:

Your main responsibilities include efficiently managing claims, ensuring positive relationships with members, participating in team meetings and training. This role combines technical expertise, customer service excellence, and a commitment to regulatory compliance, making it a key driver of success for both the Claims Team and ServicePlus team.

You’ll report in to both the ServicePlus & Claims Manager, actively contributing to both functions. Join us in shaping a positive and efficient claims experience for Hostplus members.

About you:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Customer Service:

  • Proven experience in customer service or call centre, preferably in financial services
  • Ability to understand and explain complex concepts in simple terms.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with effective prioritization.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of superannuation, insurance, or advice models is advantageous.
  • Friendly, caring, can-do approach to work is a must.
  • Bring a friendly, caring, and can-do approach to the workplace.

Claims:

  • Although it is desirable to have claims experience it is not a requirement.
  • Through on the job training you will be coached in the claims process.

We welcome applicants from Hospitailty, Retail, Contact/Call Centres and other customer facing industries. It is important that you have previously worked in an environment with competing priorities.
