Service Manager

Do you have experience in managing workshops across multiple locations and improving processes and systems to establish sustainable predictable and safe performance of fitter resources? A strong sense of team across internal and external customers?

THE ROLE:

• Full-time; based out of Mt Isa office; some travel required
• Managing two workshops in Mt Isa and Townsville
• Company vehicle supplied (incl. phone + laptop)
• One-on-One Leadership Development Coaching
• Assistance in Personal Financial Development

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

• Have planning skills; planning and allocating workshop and infield service work
• Be resilient; identify & propose improvement ideas to workflows
• Be an active listener; build & maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to meet stated value propositions
• Be team orientated; collaborate with internal teams to deliver value to customers
• Be confident; propose solutions and resolve issues to enhance the SMH brand
• Be goal focused; ability to meet & exceed financial targets
• Be performance driven; track & report on key performance indicators

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated experience in workshop management
• Demonstrated experience in risk management and safety systems
• Experience in managing diverse teams of people
• Attention to detail and QA discipline
• Managing budgets and a P&L
• Current Driver’s Licence

ABOUT SMH EQUIPMENT:

We are a Queensland-based civil-earthmoving rental and repairs business and we have recently expanded our services opening a new facility in Townsville. We help the Queensland civil market access quality earthmoving rental equipment and repair solutions. As our business continues to grow, we are keen to find our next team member to manage our workshop operations from our Mount Isa operation.
