Service Technician

Position Summary

The Service Technician position provides technical support, fault finding, repair and maintenance services to a range of cranes and related equipment. This role is field and workshop based in Canning Vale, WA.

What will you do?

• Deliver schedule servicing and inspections of mobile plant equipment including but not limited to:
  • Hydraulics
  • Boom re-builds
  • Pneumatics
  • Electrical
  • Brake systems
• Carry out mechanical repairs and service works and perform specific machining tasks where required.
• Maintain effective communications with all internal and external customers.
• Complete all relevant documentation as required.
• Supervise and instruct apprentices, trade assistants and sub-contractors in regard to the performance of Maintenance tasks, if required.
• Represent the company in its relationships with major customers.
• Take part in training and multi-tasking.

What we need you to have:

• A proven commitment to safety and complying with safe systems of work.
• Suitable Automotive Trade qualification.
• C Class Driver’s License with HR License preferred.
• Experience with maintaining earthmoving plant or heavy automotive equipment is essential.
• Experience with brake systems essential.
• Experience with the Terex Franna or other mobile crane products is preferred but not essential.
• Diesel fitting experience highly considered.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to problem solve routine issues.
• Possess a positive attitude to work well within a Team.
• Strong willingness to learn and grow your experience.
