Service Truck Operator
Workfast are currently looking for a proactive individual to join our maintenance team as a Service Truck Operator. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position involves handling refueling, lubrication, and preventive maintenance tasks for our Mobile Plant. The role operates during Afternoon Shifts, from 4pm to 12am (midnight) on Sundays to Thursdays.
Roles & Responsibilities: - Ensure all mobile plant is fueled up and prepared for operation the next day.
- Perform all lubrication tasks on the mobile plant fleet, such as replenishing hydraulic and engine oil, refilling auto-grease systems, and monitoring oil levels and status.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on the mobile plant fleet, including weekly equipment checks.
- Generate preventive maintenance reports for the Maintenance Planner to aid in scheduling subsequent maintenance tasks.
- Grease all mobile plant fleet components daily before operation the next morning.
- Occasionally clean the mobile plant fleet as needed.
Education and Qualifications & Experience: - Previous experience with mobile equipment is mandatory.
- A trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter or similar is highly desirable, although experience as a trades assistant will also be considered.
- Previous experience as a service truck operator is favorable.
- Mobile plant tickets for Excavators and Loaders are required.
- A forward-thinking attitude with the ability to anticipate issues and identify faults is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly are important.
Additional Information: - Must possess and maintain a valid HR Licence.
- Employees may be required to perform duties within the scope of their skill, competency, and training, consistent with their classification level.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical assessment and be physically fit for daily climbing on and off equipment.
