Do you love to sing or showcase your musical talents? Come join in the fun and bring the joy of live music to our residents at HammondCare.

Our residents absolutely light up when they hear music â clapping, humming, tapping their feet, and singing along to their favourite tunes. You donât need to be a professional performer; we simply welcome warmâhearted people who enjoy sharing music in a relaxed, friendly setting.

All styles are embraced: classical, jazz, country, rock ânâ roll, and wellâloved hits from the 1930s onward.

The Therapeutic Power of Music in Dementia Care

Music can spark memories, soothe anxiety, encourage connection, lift mood, and create moments of joy and familiarity for people living with dementia. A simple song can open a window to the past or bring a sense of calm and comfort.

Whether you prefer occasional visits or a regular weekly or fortnightly rhythm, your presence and your music make a meaningful difference.

Your impact

Volunteering as a Musical guest can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

18 years and over, National Volunteer Police Check and NDIS screening arranged and paid for by HammondCare
