The opportunity

Western Stainless Solutions is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Trades Person to join our team in Landsdale, WA. As a Sheet Metal Trades Person, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing a variety of metal products, contributing to the overall success of our thriving business.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to fabricate metal components
• Operate machinery such as shears, brakes, rollers and welding equipment to cut, bend and join metal materials
• Assemble and install metal structures, products and equipment according to established procedures
• Perform maintenance and repair work on metal products and equipment as required
• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and quality control measures
• Collaborate with the team to resolve issues and find efficient solutions
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

• Qualified Sheet Metal Trades Person with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Skilled in operating sheet metal fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers and welding machines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
• Relevant trade certificate or qualification
