• Location: Ivanhoe Council
• Hourly Pay: $35.71 + Super
• Hours Per Week: 38 (Mon-Fri 05:15am-1:30pm)
• Employment Type: Casual (open to extension)

About the Role:

Join us as a SideLoader Driver/Operator at Ivanhoe Council! Your primary role is to ensure efficient waste collection services within our municipality.

Responsibilities:

• Collect household garbage/recycling/organics, commercial waste, parks waste, and bundle branch collection.
• Clear garbage/recycling/organics from mobile garbage bins put out for emptying by residents.
• Reduce the impact of collection activities on the environment by recovering spilled waste and containing oil or fuel spills.
• Assist with Mobile Garbage Bin repairs when required.
• Carry out regular routine maintenance on the truck.
• Assist with any task undertaken by the Waste Management unit as directed by Supervisor.
• Adhere to all safe working procedures and Council's OH&S and risk policies.
• Take reasonable care of themselves and others affected by their actions.
• Assist council in maintaining and improving its services by performing all work in accordance with procedures.
• Perform tasks as required by the Waste Management unit.

Skills Required:

• Experience operating side loader waste collection vehicles.
• Experience in household garbage/recycling/organics, commercial parks waste, dump rubbish, and hard waste collection.
• Must be able to obtain an updated Police Check.
