About the role

We are seeking a motivated Site Engineer – Signalling to join our team on the QTMP Project on the Gold Coast. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will provide engineering, technical, and quality support to ensure signalling works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.


This role supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of signalling construction activities, working closely with site supervision, subcontractors, and engineering teams to ensure compliance with design, quality systems, and rail standards.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the delivery of signalling works by coordinating engineering, technical, and quality requirements across site activities

  • Assist in planning, monitoring, and reporting on construction progress, budgets, and program performance

  • Interpret signalling designs, drawings, and documentation to support construction delivery and implementation

  • Assist with the preparation and management of ITPs, QA documentation, RFIs, NCRs, and project reporting requirements

  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and rail standards

About you


  • Degree qualified in Engineering (or equivalent) and eligible for membership with Engineers Australia

  • 2+ years’ experience in construction or rail engineering, ideally within signalling or infrastructure projects

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, QA systems, and project delivery processes

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and support engineering problem solving on site

  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder engagement skills
