Skin Cancer Nurse (RN)

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic is keen to find another Registered Nurse to join our Team.  The role will primarily be working as a Skin Cancer Nurse but also involve doing some Zoledronic Acid infusions for our Endocrinologists at our sister clinic, Mooroolbark Specialist Centre.

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic has been serving the Mooroolbark and broader community since 2011 and moved to a brand new location custom built location in September last year.

Molescope Skin Cancer Clinic is dedicated to providing exceptional Skin Cancer care to the people of the Yarra Valley and surrounds. All the Doctors have extensive experience in Skin Cancer Medicine and appropriate qualifications.

Key Duties

• Assisting Skin Cancer Doctors with procedures
• Removal of sutures
• Wound reviews
• Liaising with patients pre and post procedure
• Zoledronic Acid infusions for our sister clinic Mooroolbark Specialist Centre (must be confident in cannulation & infusion management)
• Instrument cleaning & sterilisation
• Stock ordering/management
• Patient education for how to use treatments for pre-cancerous lesions (education will be provided)
• Patient total body photography potentially part of the role in the future

Skills and Experience

• Registered Nurse with at least 2 years experience
• Current full AHPRA Registration
• Experience in surgical nursing preferred but not essential
• Confident with Cannulation and infusion management
• Outstanding communication
• Be able to interact with patients, visitors & staff in a friendly, professional and confident manner
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
• Excellent organisational skills
• dSLR Photography experience preferred but not essential (training available)

Hours: 

• Casual role
• Must be available Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings
• Flexibility available if school hours shifts are desired
• No evening or weekend work
• Clinic closed between Christmas and New Year
