Skin or Dermal Therapist | New Clinic, Adelaide Eastern Suburbs | $35 to $50 per hour

A new cosmetic and skin clinic opens in Adelaide's eastern suburbs before Christmas, and the skin side of it is yours to build.

Three treatment rooms, a brand new fit out, in a medical precinct in one of Adelaide's most affluent pockets. The skin offering is built around proper consultations and treatment plans rather than one off appointments, and you would have a genuine say in how the menu and the packages come together.

Whether you come from a skin therapy or a dermal background, what matters here is your consultation skill and your results.

The treatment side

• Skin imaging and analysis on every consultation, feeding directly into treatment plans and packages
• IPL covering pigmentation, vascular, acne, rejuvenation and hair removal
• Microneedling with infusions
• A professional skincare range, with the homecare and retail that goes alongside it

All of the equipment is brand new and full training is provided, so you do not need experience on these exact machines.

What you would be doing

• Running skin consultations and analysis, then building treatment plans clients commit to
• Delivering the full skin treatment offering
• Owning the homecare recommendations and the retail that sits alongside them
• Working with the clinic's cosmetic nurse on combined treatment plans
• Helping shape the treatment menu and the protocols as the clinic settles in

What you need

• A skin therapy, beauty therapy or dermal qualification
• Solid hands on experience with IPL and microneedling in a clinic setting
• Confidence in consultations, and in recommending homecare and packages without it feeling like a sell
• South Australia does not require a laser or IPL licence, so interstate candidates are welcome

The practical detail

• $35 to $50 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, with the top of the band for a dermal therapist or a genuinely senior skin therapist
• Full time, Wednesday to Sunday. Wednesday 9 to 5, Thursday and Friday 9 to 7, Saturday 9 to 5, Sunday 10 to 5
• Some flexibility on alternate weekends for the right person
• Start mid October to early November, ahead of the launch
• A second clinic is in planning, so there is room to grow with it
